Today is the first day of the last quarter of Zach's senior year and Molly's sophomore year at Phillips High School. That just doesn't seem right. It seems like yesterday I had the 6 of them here and when the first day of 4th quarter began we would start talking about fast summer vacation would be here..........
Got an email from Kathy Jones. She's going to come to Heidi and Parker's wedding: can't wait to see her. It's been too long!!

Zach, Dave & I spent Saturday in the Twin Cities. Zach had his musical audition at the UMN at 10:15a.m. so we were up early and left the house by 6:30a.m., later than we had planned(Zach's fault). I just know that he did a fantastic job. Zach told me last week on my birthday that he is going to be his class Salutadictorian at his graduation!
I had finished gathering and sewing my wedding veil on to the comb that Heidi bought. She is going to wear the longest of my three veils, the cathedral length veil, on her wedding day, June 20th. Heidi took me shopping and we picked out fabric for Julia and Grace's skirts, they are the little girls who will be the Jr. bridesmaids.
The weather in the cities was gorgeous!!! The temp. reached 47 degrees ABOVE 0!!! It is once again below 0 today.

TGIF, and that's about the only good thing about today. I'm working on my "layer cake" quilt and did some work on one of my skinney sonowman wall hangings. I'd really like to see the sun! Today is snowey and the wind whipping the snow accross the lake. There is a wind chill advisery for tonight thru tomorrow at noon.
Zach should be down in Wisconsin Rapids for the Wisconsin HS Honors Band. Dave is going down tomorrow to pick him up and to see the final concert. To long of ride for me with my bum hips.
DJ's guinea pig, Guiners, will be going down to Wisconsin Rapids with Dave. Actually found a foster home for her! She needs a kid to give her the love she deserves. Guiners is a sweetie pie, I'll miss her.............for a while anyway.
When I pick up Molly from school today I'll have her drive to the dry cleaners and I'll be picking up my wedding veil. Heidi is going to be wearing it when she marries Parker on June 20th. She sent me a comb and I hope it's wide enough for me to gather up all the veil(there is a lot of veil!) and sew it on to the comb. We're going over to the Twin Cities next weekend b/c Zach auditions at the college for entrance in the Fall.
Bad day today also because of thought of Amy. Guilt and fear. She is my daughter. I will always love her. My heart aches. I pray He will have Amy cross paths with someone who will help Amy get the help she so badly needs. I pray my family will be whole again soon.....

I can't believe it's January 19th already!! Two big event this year: Zachary will graduate from High School(and begin college in the fall) and Heidi will marry Parker on June 20th.
To the left is a picture of my Roxy. She is going to be 7 years old. Roxy was the puppy that nobody wanted! She thinks that she is a black lab. She is extremely stupid, but, I love her for the puppy she is!
Have to go now and pick up Molly. I've been picking her up from school so that she can drive home and get the practice time in that she needs to be able to take her drivers test in May!

I've never been a fan of this season of Autumn. I mean I love it when the tree's are covered with red, orange, yellow leaves. It's breath-taking. But, up here in Wisconsin the leaves are only on the trees for just over 4 months!! And, I miss the kids.........
Dave and I leave for Sara & Jake's on the 25th. I'm hoping somehow to sneak Emma into one of my suitcases!! Should run and finish up on my swap blocks for the "Pat Sloan" yahoo quilt group. This time it's "Twinkle" blocks: aka 51/5" x 101/2" block base with ornaments fused on. I always seem to wait till the last minute and this time was no exception.
